Each Nordhavn desk is built from quarter-sawn European oak or American black walnut, selected for straight grain and even colour. The top is cut from a single board or a matched pair, then hand-sanded and finished with a low-sheen hardwax oil that deepens the timber without hiding it. The drawer box is solid beech with dovetailed corners and a waxed runner; the legs are joined with traditional mortise and tenon.

The desk is intended for daily work. A 160cm writing surface gives room for a monitor, lamp, and open notebook, while a recessed channel in the rear rail carries cables below sight. The front edge is gently eased, and the height is set at 74cm. The proportions are restrained enough for a home study but sturdy enough for a small commercial studio.

Made to order in small batches, each desk ships flat-packed with solid brass assembly hardware and a printed care card. EU delivery takes 3–5 weeks; international delivery 4–6 weeks. Standard sizes can be returned within 30 days in original condition. Custom lengths are final sale.
